Peacock

This is the showpiece of the collection and easily the most detailed — dozens of repeated shapes radiating outward — which makes it a wonderful slow project for an older child, or something to work on together over more than one sitting. Coloring a peacock is a natural way to talk about why some birds are so extravagant, about patterns that repeat, and about the difference between the male and the female.
