Trace the Letter Z

Stroke order for Z
Three strokes in one movement: across the top, diagonally down to the left, then across the bottom. Say across, down, across while tracing and the shape tends to follow.

What to watch for
The diagonal can slope either way and both look plausible to a child who is not yet reading much, which makes Z reverse about as readily as S. Tracing large, with the arm rather than the fingers, is the fix here too.
