Space Shuttle Coloring Page
Preschool · 3–5A space shuttle climbing with its booster rockets attached and flame beneath it. The shuttle has stubby delta wings, a rounded nose and a tail fin, and the whole thing reads as one long diagonal across the page, which gives it movement that a rocket standing upright never has. The flames at the bottom are drawn as separate curling shapes rather than one blob, so they can be coloured in layers — this is where the oranges and yellows go, and children rarely need telling. The body panels are large and simple. It is a straightforward page with a dramatic shape, which is a good combination for a four- or five-year-old who wants the result to look exciting without the work being hard. Print on A4 or US Letter. The two boosters fall away a couple of minutes after launch and the shuttle carries on without them, which is worth knowing before a child decides they are part of the spaceship.
