Saturn Coloring Page
Toddler · 2–3The planet Saturn with its rings tilted across it, and a scatter of small stars around the edge of the page. Mechanically this is almost the simplest page on the site — a circle and some bands — which makes it a good one for a very young child, and the rings give an easy reason to use a second colour without needing any precision. It is also the most recognisable object in the night sky after the Moon, and the one children most often draw unprompted once they have seen it. The bands across the planet are separate shapes, so a striped Saturn is the default outcome rather than something a child has to think of. The stars are tiny and most children ignore them, which is fine. Print on A4 or US Letter. The rings are not solid, which surprises most people: they are billions of pieces of ice and rock going round the planet, and from far enough away that reads as a smooth band.
