Astronaut and Flag Coloring Page

An astronaut standing on a cratered surface, planting a flag, with footprints and rocks around them and a dark sky behind. It is the most story-like page in the category and the one that most often gets a sentence written under it. The suit is drawn in full detail — backpack, chest panel, boots, the hoop joints at the elbows — and the flag is a plain rectangle left deliberately empty, so it can be any flag a child likes, including an invented one. The footprints are worth pointing at: there is no wind or rain up there, so the ones left on the Moon are still exactly as they were. Children find that genuinely startling. Print on A4 or US Letter, or colour it online with the paint bucket. The flag on the real Moon landings had a rod sewn along the top edge, because with no air there is no breeze and otherwise it would simply have hung down.
