Shooting Star Coloring Page
Toddler · 2–3A five-pointed star with a smiling face and a long curling trail of sparkles behind it. This is the friendliest page in the category and the one most likely to suit a two-year-old: a star is a shape almost every small child can already recognise and many can already draw, and the face makes it a character rather than an object. The trail is a loose spiral of separate sparkles, so it can be filled quickly or slowly depending on the mood. It is the one page here that is a cartoon rather than a thing — a real shooting star is a grain of dust burning up — which is worth knowing eventually and absolutely not worth mentioning while a three-year-old is enjoying the face. Print on A4 or US Letter, or colour it online. The sparkles get smaller towards the end of the trail, which gives a child who notices an easy way to make the whole thing look like it is moving.
